Call us deulu but 2024 was an incredible year filled with so many highs, lows and challenges.
The first half of the year saw us grow incredibly quickly within the space of weeks. We increased our revenue, grew our team and also increased our stock. We learnt a lot in a very short space of time and growing that quickly comes with its obvious challenges.
We were learning from our mistakes and testing ideas left right and centre. We also spoke to our customers throughout this process to try and understand what product and services people actually wanted.
With that being said, 2025 feels like we are starting the business again but in a different way.
Last year was not without its challenges. Taking the risk to open at Ffos meant we were able to grow the business presence and expand our offering to menswear as well as womenswear. It did however also disrupt the business. It drained us of cashflow to cover the cost of staff, and unfortunately, we could not have predicted the site to become such a ghost town in a matter of weeks.
Alongside this, we were facing huge delays with our main space - spending months of endless chasing to get building work completed - and its still not done. This meant we could not continue to expand the growing interest on classes and workshops - something we believe has been a huge detriment to the business.
I say this because these challenges took us in directions that didn't always feel right - however, the importance is the learnings we took from them.
In 2025 we want to go back to our original roots, this is what we hope to achieve.
1. Bringing back Second Hand Saturday.
2. Partnering with more charities and organisations.
3. Collaborating with local businesses, designers and individuals.
4. Growing online.
5. Running community events in partnership with businesses.
